A Christmas Carol:Stave Four

Do you think every person has a right to take care themselves?
I agree with the quote "Every person has a right to take care of themselves" But I think that they should also think about philosophy, about how to take care of others too. Only taking care of yourself could result in other people not taking care of you, so I think that we have a right to take care about ourselves but we should also think about taking care about other people. When Scrooge died, the people that took his things I thought that was rather disrespectful, even though taking his things is to take care of themselves. They should be at least a mournful even though he wasn't all that kind and was greedy. It's pretty sad that when you or a friends is dead no one comes to mourn for you. But, instead takes things that was once yours without your permission. I myself wouldn't want that to happen to myself, having a friend by your side to care for you is a wonderful thing. That is because that's your friend that you have been through many problems with and they're the one that helps you stand up again when your falling down.

A Christmas Carol: Scrooge

Waking on a cold and frosty morning is the best with a breakfast without having to think about those stupid idiots outside trying the be all Merry during Christmas. Why should we be Merry!? They should rather be working their body off to make money! Not paying bills without money, so why should we be merry. My clerk earning fifteen shillings a week should be working more if he wants to make more money. Not enjoying Christmas unless he doesn't want to pay his bills. Don't he even think that I will pay him when he doesn't work! Without money how would those idiots want to enjoy their Christmas. Christmas is just a selfish holiday for people to slack off and thinking that they don't have to work for that whole day when they should be. People say that I have no benevolence but why should I have any? to help the poor people? Why not put them in jail to work? If they don't want to work I rather have them die.

The Pearl ~\(≧▽≦)/~

We learn that from the pearl, it brings out most of people's greed and ambition. But, to those few that are senstive to the greed that is surrounding the pearl, they think that it's a powerful symbol of evil and misfortune. Juan Tomas is one of the few people that is senstive and reconizes the devil in the pearl.

The pearl brings out the hopes that Kino has for the future of his family. I think that because, he was putting all his hope into a more comfortable future for his family. For Juana, at first she see a beatuiful picture; but when she finds that Kino wants everything, she sees that the pearl is a harbinger of evil. Therefore she begs Kino to throw it back into the sea. The neighbors are all excited and jealous of the wealth that Kino would be able to get after selling the pearl. I think that because some of the people was planning to kill Kino or steal his pearl. It brings out both the doctor priest's greed, thinking of what they could do to make Kino offer the pearl to them. The townspeople's intrest comes out as to what would happen to Kino, for he has a perfect pearl to sell.
